ABOUT US

The college started functioning in Tvm in 1983-84, affiliated to the university of Kerala. Since then the campus has been flourishing with expansion of infrastructure and other clinical and non-clinical departments to impart excellent training to the aspirants of homoeopathy.

The Department of Organon of Medicine and Homoeopathic Philosophy had been playing a vital role in moulding classical homoeopaths. Dr. K. J Isaac, the founder Principal of the college and the first Head of our Department, had been our inspiration in guiding institutional training in the practice of Homoeopathy. Dr. P. Muraleedharan who followed, had been the backbone and strength of the Department from 1987-2002.

The PG course in Homoeopathic Philosophy was started in the year of 1994-95.Since then, five batches have passed out successfully and three batches are continuing their course presently. With the commencement of PG course, there had been a new revival and enthusiasm in the practical approach to Homoeopathy with a more effective process of case analysis and evaluation, culminating the better mode of selection of medicines offering better service to the public.

The long cherished dream of some publication of the Department is now being materialized with the launch of the monthly medical bulletin, enterprised by the PG students of the Department. I do hope that this new venture will be appreciable in highlighting the principles of Homoeopathy in this most stressful modern era to provide a common platform for sharing our experiences with our homoeopathic brethren.

On the year of 250th birth anniversary of our great master, the Post Graduate Department of Homoeopathic Philosophy of this college is launching a journal completely dedicated to promote contributions to the Homoeopathic literature and to provide a platform for the free exchange of ideas with our brethren.

The journal is being launched on 10th August 2005, commemorating the receipt of Post Graduate degree by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann on 10th August 1779.

The first issue will be published in print. The subsequent monthly issues will be available online.

Homoeopathy is the latest and refined method of treating patients economically and non violently. Government must encourage and patronise it in out country.
